Yarrowee Home Care

Most home care starts with a phone call, then a visit to assess you, or your mum or dad, then a wait.

Still waiting on funded care?

"In the Grampians region, which takes in Ballarat, people who started aged care in the June 2026 quarter had waited an average of 353 days since applying, and a median of 290" Source: Aged Care Act 2024 Wait Times Report, second report, Quarter 4, Table 7, published 11 August 2026.

How private home care with Yarrowee works

Two women sitting in armchairs with mugs of tea, talking and laughing.

01

You fill in the form

An older woman at a wooden table using a tablet, with a mug, a notebook and reading glasses beside her.

About ten minutes. We ask a lot: how they get around, how they manage medication, what the house is like. The carer reads all of it before they knock, so they arrive knowing what they are walking into.

02

We check we can do it safely

This happens in seconds, at any hour. If it is not something one carer can do on their own, we will tell you straight away and point you somewhere that can help. You will not be charged.

03

Your job goes to our carers

A woman in a dark navy T-shirt standing in a hallway by an open door, looking at her phone.

Straight to their phones, not into an inbox. A carer whose police check has lapsed is taken off the board and cannot see it. If you are an existing client and prefer your last carer, it goes to them first.

04

You get an email with their name

An older woman sitting on a sofa, reading a confirmation with a green tick on her phone.

Who is coming, what time, and what they are trained in. That is when your card is charged, and not before.

05

Care Delivered. Your first visit includes a free set-up check

Fifteen extra minutes of the carer’s time, which you are not charged for. They check the entry works, look for anything unsafe, and make sure what you told us matches what they find.

06

Afterwards

An older woman and a younger woman looking at a laptop together at a dining table.

A short note about how the visit went, a receipt, and a one-tap way to book the same again.

07

If nobody can take it

We will tell you within two hours or by late morning if you ask outside business hours and close the request rather than leave you wondering. You will not be charged. You are welcome to try another day or time.
